The following rules apply to both Nova Scotia Championships and VC National Championships:

1. Athletes born from September 1 to December 31st of the previous year are permitted to play down one age category.  Athletes can only play in one Provincial Championship and/or National Championship in the same year.

2.  19U aged athletes (born in 1996) who were born too early to qualify for the 18U competition category and who are currently in their first year of grade 12, shall be eligible to compete at the Provincial Championships and/or National championships provided that they have not been held back a year at any time during their schooling.

*Teams are permitted a maximum of two (2) over age players.

**Over age athletes must meet all of the regular eligibility requirements for Provincial

Championship and/or National Championship participation.
