EDC Information

All Direct Invitations for the 2015 Elite Development Camp have now been sent to all identified athletes.
 
Information regarding the Direct Invites:

• Please verify the email address used to set up your athlete profile at the beginning of the club season on the Volleyball Registry System (VRS).
• Verify your junk folder of your email address.
• Club coaches received a notification of all athletes that were recipients of a Direct Invite to the EDC.  Please contact your coach if you are uncertain.  If there are more than one athlete assigned to the same email address and uncertain to whom the invite is for, please contact your club coach to confirm.  We encourage that an athlete is assigned his/her own email address so in the future that appropriate athlete receives correspondence.
• If you have not received a Direct Invite you are encouraged to register to attend one of the Open Tryout sessions in the weeks to come.
• Please visit our web site under EDP/Team NS for additional information regarding the EDC, team selection process, training, and competition schedules.

 
Open Tryout Invitations:

• This process will be the final selection round to participate at the 2015 Elite Development Camp.
• Only athletes born in 1999 or later may attend.
• Roughly 30% of our athletes selected to be members of Team Nova Scotia have been athletes that received invites from the Open Tryout invitations.

 
Important dates to remember:

• May 15^th: Registration opens for the Open Tryouts
• May 17^th:Deadline to reply to your Direct Invite (yes or no plus additional information as well as mail or drop off the required deposit).
• May 21^st: Registration closes for the Open Tryouts.
• May 22^nd-28^th: Open Tryouts.  Athletes only need to attend any 1 of the 5 sessions.
• June 1^st: Final invitations sent to athletes.
• June 3^rd: Deadline to reply.

 
Athletes accepting their invitation to the 2015 EDC will receive additional information with documents to complete as we approach the week of the EDC.  It is imperative to read each piece and fill in all information required.  Please respect the timelines indicated to ensure adequate time to prepare for this event.
