Canada Games Indoor Head Coaches Announced

Volleyball Nova Scotia is very proud and excited to announce the indoor Canada Games Head Coaches for both the male and female teams that will represent Nova Scotia at the 2017 Canada Games in Winnipeg.Lisa DePaoli will take on the Head Coach position for the boys. This will be Lisa’s third time heading to Canada Games. The first time was as an athlete and the second time was as an assistant coach. Lisa is a Level 3 NCCP certified coach. Lisa’s had been a Team Nova Scotia head coach in the past leading teams that competed in the National Team Challenge Cup and Eastern Elite Championships. Lisa’s wealth of experience extends to the club and school system where she has coached Horton High School, The Waves and Axe Volleyball to numerous Provincial medals.

We are pleased to announce Jon Elliott as the Head Coach for girls’ Canada Games team. This will be Jon’s fourth time attending Canada Games and first as a head coach. Jon has head coached Team Nova Scotia at NTCC’s three times, and at Volleyball Canada age class nationals on numerous occasions with the Lakers, Hurricanes and Tigers Volleyball Club. Jon, a level 3 NCCP certified coach, also has several years experience coaching at the post secondary level with Dalhousie University and King’s College.
