Megan Conroy Named Technical Director for Volleyball Nova Scotia

We are pleased to announce Megan Conroy as our Technical Director.Megan is a Level 3 NCCP certified volleyball coach and comes to VNS with a wealth of experience as both a coach and administrator. Megan has been coaching and implementing volleyball programs from grassroots to high performance for almost 15 years. She’s been a two-time member of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Canada Games coaching staff as an Assistant and Head Coach, an Assistant Coach with Memorial University’s Women’s Volleyball Team and from 2003 to 2010 Megan worked as a Program Coordinator with the Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association.
Since moving to Hantsport, Nova Scotia in 2014, Megan has been involved with coaching a variety of youth teams from 14U and 17U Club, Assistant Coach with Dalhousie University Women’s Volleyball Team, mentor coach with Avon View High School Varsity and Jr. Varsity Teams, 14U and 16U VNS Provincial Teams as well as Assistant Coach with the 2016 National Team Challenge Cup and 2017 Canada Games programs.
“We’re thrilled to have Megan on board as our Technical Director. She brings a wealth of experience and I’m confident her knowledge, work ethic and passion for the game will be an incredible asset to volleyball in Nova Scotia for years to come,” says Executive Director Jason Trepanier.
Megan’s mandate with Volleyball Nova Scotia will be to foster the growth and development of beach and indoor volleyball with a focus on coach development.
“I am very excited to embark upon this new opportunity in a field I am extremely passionate about. Working with all the coaches who dedicate so much time and energy to foster the growth of the sport of volleyball, and our athletes, in Nova Scotia is something I am very much looking forward to. This TD position will allow me the ability to connect with all the different areas of our province to help grow and share volleyball ideas within the VNS community, and for that opportunity I am very thankful to VNS,” commented Megan Conroy.

Megan will commence her duties with Volleyball Nova Scotia on November 14.
