The Support4Sport Awards is the largest sport recognition event in Nova Scotia. Hosted by Sport Nova Scotia, approximately 200 athletes, coaches, officials, sponsors, volunteers, and community sport associations from across the province are recognized for their accomplishments.
Available awards for the sport of Volleyball include:
Junior Female Athlete of the Year
The most outstanding female athlete of the year participating in a team sport is recognized.
Junior Male Athlete of the Year
The most outstanding male athlete of the year participating in a team sport is recognized.
Volunteer of the Year
Any individual who made an outstanding contribution to the sports community in Nova Scotia as a volunteer is eligible to be nominated.
Sponsor of the Year
This award is presented to a corporation that has contributed a great deal to the development of sport in Nova Scotia.
Team of the Year
The most outstanding team sports team in the province is recognized. Team’s must be members of or be recognized by their Provincial Sport Organization to be eligible.
Referee of the Year
This award annually recognizes Nova Scotia’s most outstanding official. This individual demonstrates dedication to leadership, contributions to local sport development, and is seen as an advocate for fair play and ethical behaviour in the sport.
Coach of the Year
The most outstanding coach in the province of Nova Scotia is recognized for their ability to manage and develop talent at an elite level. Nominees must hold a minimum of NCCP Comp Intro certificate.

The Support4Sport Awards are taking place May 24 at the Halifax Convention Centre.
Nominations should be based upon accomplishments between April 2024 and March 2025. Information from previous years will not be considered.
Support4Sport was introduced by Nova Scotia Gaming in 2006. Funds are raised through the sale of designated lottery products. Each time one of those products is sold, 100% of the proceeds help Nova Scotians get in the game. Since 2006, the program has helped raise over $50 million to help develop community and provincial sport programs, and provide training and development opportunities for amateur athletes, coaches and officials.
