2023-24 Competitions Guide

The Competitions Guide is a document of rules and regulations for the Club Volleyball Season and all VNS-Sanctioned competitions within. All clubs, head coaches, and managers should be familiar with and aware of its contents and ensure that each club and team is operating within these guidelines throughout the Club Volleyball Season.

The Competitions Guide is updated annually, which includes any rule changes from Volleyball Canada.

2023-24 Important Dates

2023-24 Tryout Period,  Super Series, 14U Seeding Tournament, & NS Championships Dates:

The Super Series is comprised of two events in each of the following age groups: 15U, 16U and 17/18U (combined) for Female and 16U and 18U for Male. Each event is organized by VNS and hosted by clubs throughout the province. Results are used to regroup teams in tiers of the same skill level for the next event. The final Super Series event is used to tier and seed participating teams in the VNS Championships. The Seeding Event is for 14U Female & 14U Male. Each event is organized by VNS and hosted by clubs throughout the province. Results are used to tier and seed participating teams in the VNS Championships.

VNS Championships represent the culmination of the VNS club season and serve to rank teams headed to National Championships.

  • Tryout Coach Audit Complete                    November 14th, 2023, 5:00pm
  • Club Re-Signing Period:                            November 15th – November 23rd, 2023
  • Club Open Signing Period:                        November 25th – December 1st, 2023
  • Club Tryout Window:                                 December 3rd – December 13th, 2023
  • Club Official Offers may begin:                  December 14th, 5:00pm, 2023
  • Super Series Registration:                        January 11th, 2024, 11:59pm
  • 14U Seeding Tournament Registration      February 15th, 2024, 11:59pm
  • 14U Tripleball Format Ends:                      February 15tth, 2024, 11:59pm
  • VNS Championships Registration:            February 29th, 2024, 11:59pm
  • VNS Membership Registration:                 March 14th, 2024, 11:59pm
  • Roster Lock Deadline                                March 14th, 2024, 11:59pm
  • Coaching Cert. Requirements Met:           March 14th, 2024, 11:59pm
