Development Coach Workshop - Online Via Zoom - Nov 27th - Dec 14th

• This is a roughly 20 hour course which takes place over 2.5 weeks which includes:

• Synchronous - Live!

  • 4 Live! Facilitated classes with a Learning Facilitator + 1 mandatory Office Hours (specifics listed below)

  Asynchronous - On your own time

  • Watching 5 lectures (Total of ~ 6 hours) and completing 3 assignments  (Total of ~ 3-4 hours) to be completed outside of the Live! classes at your own pace, on your own time

  Dates & Times:

  • *Note: Coaches MUST be in attendance for all listed Live! Sessions + Virtual Office Hours 3 in full to receive credit for the course.​​
  • Nov 27th - 8:00-9:15pm: Live! Introduction Session
  • Nov 30th - 7:00-9:30pm: Live! Session Module 1
  • Dec 7th- 7:00-9:30pm: Live! Session Module 2 
  • Dec 10th - 8:00-9:15pm: Virtual Office Hours 3 
  • Dec 14th- 7:00-9:30pm: Live! Session Module 3 
  • Dec 15th-21st On own: Watch pre-recorded Modue 4 + pre-recorded Course Wrap up

  Location: Online via Zoom Platform

  Cost: $175.00 - paid online through Volleyball Connect
  * Please note coaches withdrawing from the course within 7 days of the intro session will be refunded minus a 20% administration fee. Coaches withdrawing after course start will not receive a refund.

  Pre-Requisites to Register: 

  • Must have the following e-Learning courses completed:
    1. Volleyball Canada Foundations of Volleyball Course ($89.00, 2-3 hours to complete)
    2. NCCP Emergency Action Plan Course (Free, 15 minutes to complete)
    3. CAC Safe Sport Training (Free, 45 minutes to complete)
    4. Coaches must be a Registered Coach with VNS (Recreational or Competitive)

  Registration Process:

  1. Must have the above pre-requisites completed.
  2. To Register:
     1. Go to your Sportlomo Account: https://volleyball.canada.sportsmanager.ie/sportlomo/users/login
     2. On your Member Details Card, click the "Volleyball Connect" link
     3. On the landing page, click the "COACHES" section
     4. Scroll down past the Resource Kit (which is fantastic by the way, check it out!) to the " Nova Scotia - Development Coach Pathway", and scroll through the courses (circle with an arrow in it) until your see the workshop.
     5. Click on the "Development Coach Workshop" 
     6. Register!
