Indoor Club Volleyball encompasses a wide variety of programming.  As such, Volleyball Nova Scotia has divided this category into three main groups based on the ages of our participants: Under 12 Indoor, Youth Indoor, and Adult Leagues.

Our goal is to offer programs that comply with the Canadian Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Model- please refer the the LTAD page for more information about this model.

Youth Indoor

For participants between the ages of 12 and 18 years, the Youth Indoor category is our most popular age group. Programming for this age group includes our 13U-18U Club system.

Adult Leagues

For volleyball players over the age of 18, the majority of programming in Nova Scotia is run by private organizations in the form of leagues.

Smashball: 6-12 years

Smashball provides a modified version of volleyball better suited to children based on their abilities. Modifications are tailored to meet each child’s stage of  development, which optimizes future development and enjoyment playing volleyball. The game also focuses on the sport’s most exciting skill – the spike!

Under 12 Indoor

Under 12 Indoor programs are recreational in nature and are offered at the community level for youth between 5 and 12 years of age. Two of these programs, mini-volleyball and Atomic volleyball, are programs that have been developed by Volleyball Canada and are offered across the country.
