VNS Boys Smashball Incentive Program
Clubs that have run a boys’ Smashball program can qualify for a 50% rebate on the registration fee for one team at a future 14U Boys Provincials.
This initiative is our way of showing appreciation the for efforts clubs make in promoting boys’ volleyball and fostering grassroots development in the sport.
How It Works:
- Clubs must have offered a Smashball program specifically targeting boys within the two years prior to the Provincials for which they are seeking the rebate.
- The rebate applies to one 14U Boys team registered for Provincials.
- The Smashball program must include at least 8 male players registered as VNS Recreational Members between the ages of 6 and 12.
To apply, simply provide VNS with documentation or details of your Smashball program when registering your 14U Boys team for Provincials.
A bit more about registering as a member with VNS
Volleyball Nova Scotia recommends that all new and existing youth programs register as VNS/Volleyball Canada Recreation Members. The fee is $17 for each coach and participant. Why? For more information on VNS/VC membership, please go to the Registration page of our website.
- Ensures everyone involved in the program has accident and liability coverage
- Allows VNS to see the number of athletes being introduced to and playing volleyball in the 6-12 age range
- Allows VNS to communicate programming information to participants province wide
For more information on programming and clinic options, please contact VNS Technical Director Megan Conroy at vnsmegan@sportnovascotia.ca.
