2025 Team NS Coach Information


Volleyball Nova Scotia is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion in all respects, including working to create coaching groups that are reflective of the diverse population of Nova Scotia with respect to age, gender, ethnicity, religion, ability, sexual orientation, education and culture. VNS is now accepting HEAD and ASSISTANT coaching applications for the 2025 Team Nova Scotia Pathway Programs:

  • INDOOR - all programs have female and male teams with seperate coaching staffs

    • ROYAL (2008-2010 YOB athlete eligibility)

      • 1 Head Coach per gendered program

      • 3 Assistant Coaches per gendered program

    • NAVY HYBRID (2010-2012 YOB athlete eligibility)

      • 1 Head Coach per gendered program

      • 5 Assistant Coaches per gendered program

 

  • BEACH - female and male athletes will train together with 1 coaching staff

    • NAVY (2007-2011 YOB athlete eligibility)

      • 1 Head Coach - will oversee all female and male teams

      • 3 Assistant Coaches - will support all female and male teams


SESSION COACH - In addition to the positions above, VNS Pathway Programs encourage the involvement of Session Coaches. The Session Coach role is perfect for coaches who aren't able to commit to 6-7 weekend blocks of training/competition during the summer, but want to learn and contribute. They can commit to attend a variety of sessions (Ex. from one practice in a training block, to one practice a day, to a repeating session each training camp, etc.).


APPLY TO SUPPORT 2025 PROGRAMS as Head, Assistant or Session Coaches:

  • Please complete the online 2025 Team Nova Scotia Coach Application linked above (≈15min).

    • The deadline for coaches interested in Head and Assistant Coach positions is 11:59pm on Friday February 28, 2025.

    • VNS will begin contacting interested Head and Assistant Coaches by email starting on Tuesday, March 4.

    • Session Coach applications will be accepted throughout the spring. VNS will contact these applicants starting on Thursday, May 1
