Volleyball Nova Scotia's Team NS is an annual program offered to selected athletes that demonstrate future national level potential through several training and competition opportunities in two disciplines: beach volleyball, and indoor volleyball.

Objectives

• Create a clear and sound pathway through the development streams of the Long Term Development model (LTD) for Nova Scotia’s volleyball athletes
• Expose Nova Scotia’s top volleyball athletes to a higher level of training and competition to gain valuable experience for their development in preparation for the next stage of their athletic endeavors
• Compete to attain consistent top performance results regionally as well as nationally
• Develop and mentor coaches through sharing of best practices and coaching under VNS curriculum.

• High athlete retention rate based on reoccurring participation
• For Nova Scotia athletes to become part of Volleyball Canada’s national select, youth, and/or junior programs in both beach and indoor
• Future impact players at the post-secondary level (USports, CCAA, other), and elite athletes in both beach and indoor on the world stage
