Joseph Chiasson, a volleyball coach from Sydney, and Kasy Benoit, a Sport and Physical Activity Leadership major at Cape Breton University are combining their efforts to provide a volleyball clinic for athletes who love and wish to improve in the sport. They will provide an environment where the athletes feel safe to make mistakes and are encouraged to grow in all areas of volleyball and in life.
Each week will include a classroom session with help from professionals in the community, as well as training and competition sessions with support from local coaches!! The clinic will be held at Cape Breton University starting the last weekend in May and running for 10 consecutive weekends (typically Saturdays) from 1-4:30PM!
The clinic is open to any female athlete aged 13-15 years old. Priority will be given to those who competed in a Volleyball Nova Scotia sanctioned tournament as an 14U or 15U player this past club season. All other cases will be considered on a case-by-case scenario. Athletes from all clubs are welcome!
