What to bring:
  • Your NCCP Coach Certification Number (CC#)
    • If you do not know your CC# you can find it by using the “look up my CC#” tool on the Coaching Association of Canada's website under The LOCKER page.
    • If you do not have an NCCP #, you can get one by clicking here.
  • Writting material (notebook, pens/pencils, etc)
  • Comfortable clothes and indoor gym shoes (come prepared for some light volleyball activity in the gym)
  • Snacks and drinks (Time will be allocated for breaks and lunch, but food will not be provided)
  • USB Stick to receive coaching resources (Optional)
  • Printed PDF packages from your Volleyball Canada e-learning modules for additional information (optional)
What to expect:

At this stage, you have already received some technical/tactical material through the e-learing modules from Volleyball Canada, as well as additional coaching knowledge needed to prepare for training and competition through the NCCP multi-sport courses. Your volleyball workshop is designed to be "hands-on" training to give you some experience and confidence to begin applying your knew found knowledge to your volleyball team. During the workshop you will work mostly in the gym with athletes delivering drills and portions of practice plans. The main coaching skills targeted will be detection/correction of errors in skill execution and communication with athletes and coaching staff.
