Level III (Regional) Clinic - Truro, NS

Nominations are now being accepted for potential Level III (Regional) Candidates. Our Level III Development process will begin with an introductory evaluation for suitability in this year’s class. Accepted candidates will then be invited to participate in a series of guided development opportunities culminating in their final examinations in the 2020-21 season.

This year we will use the CEC Sr High Girls Cougar Classic (Truro) to evaluate the suitability of potential Level III candidates. This tournament will be held on October 4 and 5. Potential candidates must be available for the entire event.

If you have a referee that you would like to nominate for evaluation for suitability in this year’s Level III class, please send an email to Paul Worden at volleyball.referee@ns.sympatico.ca by September 15, including the following details: 
            • Referee’s name
            • Date of last promotion (at least one season as Level II / Provincial)
            • Has the referee been available for matches and demonstrated an advanced knowledge of the rules?
            • What matches / tournaments stand out as highlights?
            • Does the referee have a complete and correct uniform?

Incomplete nominations will be returned for completion. Incomplete nominations will not be accepted after September 15.

An evaluation fee of $50, which will come from their tournament match fees, will be assessed to each nominee. Nominees will be expected to provide their own transportation to Truro, but accommodations may be provided.

Please take special note: This is an evaluation for suitability to enter this year’s Level III class. While we expect great things, there are no guarantees that any of the nominated referees will be invited to this year’s Level III class.
