Courtney Baker has been selected to participate in Canada's Junior National Team Program.
Courtney, who played setter for the Bridgewater Chill, is one of 12 athletes selected to represent Canada this summer at the US High Performance Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
This accomplishment caps off an incredible year for Courtney. She recently led her club team to a 5th place finish at National Championships, the highest finish a Nova Scotia club team has achieved in over a decade, and was recognized at the Ricoh Sport Awards as Nova Scotia's Female Volleyball Athlete of the Year.
Although Courtney has been a Team Nova Scotia athlete for several years, she played for Manitoba at this year's NTCC competiton in BC when Nova Scotia's 18U Provincial Team was cancelled.
Volleyball Nova Scotia would like to congratulate Courtney on her outstanding accomplishment!
