Howard Jackson Memorial Bursary

Howard passed away in December 2010. Its purpose is to promote, encourage and sponsor young volleyball officials and players who are currently attending post-secondary education in Nova Scotia.

Financial assistance is available to students in their quest for higher learning at a recognized Nova Scotia university, community college, for advanced education. The Howard Jackson Memorial Bursary awards two $1,000 bursaries each year to one male and one female each year.
Howard Jackson Memorial Bursaries are awarded based on the following:

• Volleyball Official, Player
• Financial need
• Community and volunteer involvement
• GPA of 75% or above
