Although the Volleyball Canada fee increases annually our VNS fee has not been raised in recent years. As costs and service demands increase, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain a high standard of service for our membership. The increase now means that in an individual membership fee is set for $69 this season and $74 next season.
The following document outlines the benefits to members with an increase in membership fees.
Benefits of a Fee Increase
A membership fee increase will allow VNS to provide additional services and support province wide. The additional revenue would be used to improve services and support in the following ways:
- Add administrative support to allow for the Executive Director and Technical Director to allocate more time to program creation, development and delivery. More administrative support would also allow for more timely communication and better service regarding general inquiries, events, programs, police record checks and registration.
- The increased funds would offset any reduction in funding and cover unforeseen costs
- Further financial flexibility to support new initiatives that help promote the game of volleyball.
VNS has commited to maintaining the VNS portion of membership fees at the same level through to 2019.
