Share Volleyball Nova Scotia Announces Jon Elliott as New Development Director

Volleyball Nova Scotia is pleased to announce Jon Elliott as our new Development Director.Jon comes to VNS with a wealth of experience as both a coach and administrator. He is an NCCP Certified Performance Volleyball Coach and Coach Developer whose been passionately involved in grassroots and high performance volleyball for almost 20 years.
He has been a four-time member of Nova Scotia’s Canada Games coaching staff as both an Assistant and Head Coach and has recently become an NCCP Evaluator and Mentor Coach with Team NS. Since 2001, Jon has coached a variety of youth Club and School teams from 14U to 18U, along with serving as an Assistant Coach with Dalhousie University Women’s Volleyball Team from 2006-2018. In addition, Jon was one of Volleyball Nova Scotia’s Sport Future Leaders, helping start Atomic and Mini volleyball grassroot programs and offering instructional clinics from Yarmouth to Sydney.
Jon’s mandate with Volleyball Nova Scotia will be to foster the growth and development of beach and indoor volleyball with a focus on coach and athlete development.

I’m looking forward to working with Nova Scotia’s incredibly dedicated and knowledgeable coaches and seeing how I can support them in growing their love and understanding of our game. I am equally excited by the opportunity to help Nova Scotia athletes reach their potential, starting in our grassroot Elementary Volleyball and Atomic/Mini programs all the way through our Team NS indoor and beach high performance programs. I am appreciative of this exciting opportunity to help an already strong VNS team and am looking forward to helping grow our game!”
Executive Director Jason Trepanier commented, “I am incredibly excited to have Jon on board as our new Development Director. His passion and experience will allow him to contribute from day one. I’m excited about the future of our sport with Jon joining the team!”
Jon will commence his duties with Volleyball Nova Scotia on April 5.
