Complete a brief application before November 28th to be considered.

Once formed, the Task Force will have the mandate of performing an environmental scan to determine what experiences BIPOC people have had in the sport of volleyball in Nova Scotia. From there the Task Force will work to develop specific recommendations to help Volleyball Nova Scotia make gradual and ongoing progress with the aim of becoming a more actively inclusionary and anti-racist organization.

The Task Force will meet at least 3 times and will have until March 15th to report their initial recommendations to our Board of Directors. For the Terms of Reference for the Task Force Click Here

Volleyball Nova Scotia is a diverse and vibrant community of people from all backgrounds, abilities, and ways of life. A diverse, inclusive volleyball program ensures equity-seeking groups - including Indigenous people, African Nova Scotians, persons with disabilities, and other under-represented groups—are genuinely included, celebrated, and given opportunities to succeed. It is a program that is welcoming, culturally competent, and free of discrimination; one that serves in a way that respects and includes the many cultures and communities of this province.
